Emily earned her Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto with a double major in Molecular Genetics and Neuroscience. She is currently pursuing an MSc at the University of Toronto in Molecular Genetics. Emily is interested in using chick embryo models to investigate unknowns in spinal development that are difficult to study in humans, with the goal of supporting future evaluations of the consequences of genetic mutations. Outside of the lab, Emily enjoys playing hockey, spending time with her cat, and crocheting.
