Shashwati is a first-year Master’s student in the Department of Molecular Genetics, having earned her Honours B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from McMaster University. Coming from a background in the physical biology of development, she is eager to explore how tissue microenvironments and mechanical stress shape neural tube formation during her first rotation in the Libby Lab. Outside the lab, she enjoys dance, painting, video games, and gardening.
